Hello, there. I've been in love with the idea of adverse possession since I learned about it my first year of law school as well. Funny enough, when I become a lawyer, I actually did some adverse possession cases (really, prescriptive easements, but who's counting?)

In any case, I noticed you haven't posted to your blog since December of 2007. I have a blog by the same name on blogger.com, and I was hoping to move it to wordpress, so I can have all of my blogs on the same site. If you're not using it, would you mind if I do? We could even switch - I'll give you the adversepossession.blogger.com site, in exchange for adversepossession.wordpress.com.

Let me know what you think. I can be reached at bartolotta@b-law.com. Check out my site so you can see what I'm doing. I hope law school worked out for you and JP. Law school was the hardest time of my life, and (like you) I got married the summer before the first semester of law school. Unfortunately for us, we weren't strong enough to survive the turmoils of law school. I hope you and JP were.

My Mom would always not talk about someone passing I only would find out,if I was lucky if I would hear about when she would make a passing remark about the death to someone else.Usually this was done when we were little children,by the time I was in high school I learned about going to a funeral(or wake) when one of my classmates died.
Part of it was that she did not like going to funerals and that her Kids should not be exposed to this part of life.
She hated funerals so much that we did not have a wake for my Dad when he died, and we only had a service at the grave site. She said that is what she wanted done for her as well.
When she passed away in 2003,My Sisters and I did have a wake and full funeral for her.I feel that haveing a wake is part of the grieveing process for the liveing to get together and celebrate the life that is no more.

How did JP's exams go?

Ah yes, anyone who cooks much, especially so-called "comfort food," has learned that it is BUTTER - not margarine, not "I can't believe it's not...," not Country Crock, and not olive oil - that makes it oh-so-comforting!

For savory dishes, and adequate substitute for butter is lard or bacon fat. P-Daddy (the husband) always cringes when I save the bacon drippings, until he sees me use them for grilled cheese.

ohhhhhh.

I'm sorry, that's very tragic. I can always tell when my mom is going to give me similar news too. My heart seems to stop a beat and I hope it's not someone too close, as horrible as it sounds.

Can I recommend if he drinks alcohol to chill out the night before the exam and have a glass of wine or something like that? It worked for me! Classy, advocating alcoholism. Nice one, Andrea.

Those mistaken incoming high fives can be dangerous. He'll get that timing back once finals are over. Or at least when he's done taking the bar. Ahem.

Happy banana bread!
